Exclusions.

Oceans Harmony does not fund:

  • For-profit business ventures.
  • Political or religious activities.
  • Projects without a clear and measurable link to ocean conservation.

Assestment Criteria.

Projects will be assessed on:

  • Impact: Clear benefits for oceans, marine life, or coastal communities.
  • Community Involvement: Local participation, volunteer engagement, or education components.
  • Feasibility: Realistic goals, timeline, and budget.
  • Scalability: Potential for expansion, replication, or long-term benefits.
  • Innovation: Creative and effective ways of addressing ocean challenges.

Project Focus Areas.

Oceans Harmony will consider projects that address one or more of the following:

  • Ocean Conservation – protecting and restoring marine ecosystems.
  • Clean Water & Treatment – reducing pollutants before they reach the ocean.
  • Damage Repair – responding to human or natural impacts on coasts and seas.
  • Coastal Vegetation – safeguarding mangroves, seagrasses, and marine plants.
  • Plastic Reduction – prevention, removal, and recycling of plastics.
  • Agricultural Runoff – reducing fertilisers, pesticides, and chemicals entering waterways.
  • Stormwater Management – preventing polluted runoff from cities and industries.
  • Other Initiatives – clearly supporting ocean health, resilience, and sustainability.
